We categorize cookies based on their purpose. Below are the types of cookies used on our Platform:
Current status: We do not use analytics cookies. We previously used Google Analytics on this website; it was removed in September 2026.
Cookieless analytics: Since September 2026 we use PostHog to measure, in aggregate, how the website is used (for example, how many visitors request a quote). We run PostHog in its cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local or session storage. Visits are counted using a short-lived, privacy-preserving server-side identifier that cannot be linked back to you, and the events we record contain no names, contact details, vehicle registrations or locations.
Future use: If we ever move to analytics that store anything on your device, we will update this Cookie Policy first, and where the law requires consent we will ask for it before anything is set.
Purpose: Track your browsing activity to deliver targeted advertising and measure campaign effectiveness.
Current status: We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we never have.

Legal Basis: Would require explicit consent under UK GDPR and PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).
Purpose: Some pages embed content from other companies — our Google reviews display and an embedded video. When that content loads, those companies may set their own cookies or similar identifiers in your browser.
What this means: These cookies are set by the third party, not by us. We do not control them and we cannot read them. Full details are in Section 5.
Legal Basis: Where such cookies are not strictly necessary, they require your consent. See Section 5 and Section 7 for how to prevent them.
This website does not set any first-party cookies. We do not use cookies for logins, sessions, preferences or tracking.
When you look up your vehicle registration to request a quote, we temporarily keep the vehicle details your browser receives so they can be carried across to the quote form on the next page. This uses session storage rather than a cookie.

This information stays on your own device, is never sent to a third party, and is deleted when you close the tab or submit your quote. It is strictly necessary to provide the quote service you asked for, so it does not require consent.
We set no third-party cookies ourselves. However, embedded content from other companies may set its own — see Section 5.
We do not set third-party cookies ourselves, but some pages include content hosted by other companies. When that content loads, those companies may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. We do not control these, cannot read them, and do not receive the data they collect. The third parties below set them under their own privacy policies.
Our area pages display our Google reviews using a widget provided by Elfsight. Loading the widget contacts Elfsight's servers and may set cookies or local storage entries used to deliver and cache the widget.
What it does: Displays our genuine Google reviews on the page.
Pages affected: Our home page and our area pages (for example Bromley, Orpington, Beckenham).

Our home page embeds a video hosted on YouTube. If the video loads, YouTube (operated by Google) may set cookies on your device, including ones used for advertising and viewing preferences.
What it does: Plays an embedded video about our service.

Some of our area pages can show a Google map of the area we cover. The map only loads if you choose to show it by pressing the "Show map" button. Until then, nothing is sent to Google. Once it loads, Google may set cookies on your device.
What it does: Shows a map of the area covered by the page you're on.
Pages affected: Area pages that offer a "Show map" button.

Because these cookies come from embedded content rather than from us, the most reliable way to prevent them is at browser level — block third-party cookies, or use a content blocker. The browser instructions in Section 6 explain how. Blocking them does not affect your ability to request a quote or book a recovery; you may simply see the reviews widget, video or map fail to load.
We may use other third-party services in the future (for example live chat, customer support tools, or payment processors). If we do, we will update this Cookie Policy and inform you accordingly.
You have several options to manage and control cookies on our Platform:

Since the only cookies you may encounter on this site come from embedded third-party content (Section 5), setting your browser to block third-party cookies is the most effective control. Every major browser offers this in the same privacy settings listed above, and it will not stop you requesting a quote or booking a recovery.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites requesting not to be tracked. There is no industry standard for how websites should respond to it. Our website does not set tracking cookies regardless of this setting — our analytics runs in a cookieless mode that stores nothing on your device (Section 3).
We do not show a cookie consent banner on this website, because we do not set any cookies that require consent. We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no first-party cookies at all. There is therefore nothing for you to accept or reject.
Cookies we set: None.
Analytics: PostHog, in cookieless mode — no cookies, nothing stored on your device. Google Analytics was removed in September 2026.
Advertising: None.
Third-party embedded content: The reviews widget and embedded video described in Section 5 may set their own cookies. You can prevent these by blocking third-party cookies in your browser (Section 6.2).
If we ever introduce cookies that require consent, we will update this Cookie Policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
Because we set no cookies of our own, blocking cookies has very little effect on this website.
You can request a quote, submit the vehicle lookup form and book a recovery with all cookies blocked. None of that depends on cookies.
The only visible effect is that the embedded third-party content described in Section 5 — our Google reviews widget and the video on the home page — may not load or display.
Some browser privacy modes also block session storage, which is separate from cookies. If session storage is blocked, the vehicle details from your registration lookup cannot be carried over to the quote form, and you may need to enter your vehicle details manually.
